Generate new business by building and maintaining relationships with realtors, real estate agents, title and escrow officers, financial advisers, CPAs, and other relevant professionals.
Regularly participate in mortgage sales including, but not limited to, attending closings and open houses, and conducting seminars and other lead-generating activities.
Collect and analyze all prospects income and debt, pre-qualify the prospective borrower to determine the maximum mortgage amount borrower can afford.
Counsel the prospective borrower in the home buying and financing process, advising the borrower about the different types of loan products available, and demonstrating how closing costs and monthly payments would vary under each product.
Maintain regular contact with the borrower, realtors, and the lender, between application and closing to apprise them of the status of the application and to gather any additional information as needed.
Submit applications within 24 hours of application date.
When needed, assist the mortgage processors in obtaining required documents from the applicant. Assist with the coordination of the closing process. Answer all inquiries from prospective mortgage applicants.
Prepare annual business or market plan to be discussed with manager/leadership quarterly.

Must have appropriate national & state license or certificate.
Proficient working knowledge of basic office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, e mail accounts and presentation software.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze financial information.
Must be a sales-oriented self-starter.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Work professionally with a wide array of personalities, both within and outside the company.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Travel is required when necessary. Work stations available at corporate office for all external loan officers but expect to be primarily outside the office working your contacts and generating leads and lead producing sources.
Expected to work a full work week and sometimes weekends to meet client and lead source demands.
